Ruger SR22 Pistol Review The Ruger SR22 Pistol comes boxed as shown below. For some, the lack of a hard case may be a little disappointing, but for others (like myself), I find that I seldom use my hard cases. If by not providing a hard case Ruger can bring the cost of the pistol down, then I'm for it.
The end of the box had a sticker with all the pertinent information like Serial Number, Catalog No: SR22PB, Caliber: .22 LR, Model: 03600 and finish Black Anodized Aluminum along with other various bar codes. When you open the box, you immediately see that the pistol comes with several accessories and a soft case. The list and photo below identifies everything that was inside the box.
This next series of photos shows the as received condition of the pistol which was great and what you would expect for a new firearm. In Part 3 of the review I discuss in detail the external features of the Ruger SR22 Pistol so consider these photos a snapshot of what is yet to come. Also keep in mind that you can click on nearly any photo in my reviews to bring up a high resolution photo showing greater detail. Note that these photos are shown in the "as received" configuration which has the flat magazine floor plate and the smaller palm swell interchangeable grip sleeve installed. I decided to go ahead and show photos of the soft case in this part of the review. The case has a relatively thin padding, but I can see using this case to hold the SR22 Pistol when I pack up and head to the range.

Thoughts The pistol was in great condition and came with extra items such as two magazines, two finger extension floor plates and a larger palm swell grip. Everything seemed tight and functioned properly. My initial first impressions were very positive, but having long fingers, the grip seemed a little small and swapping to the larger palm swell grip sleeve and using the floor plate finger extensions on the magazines will probably be the configuration for me.
