Ruger American Rifle Review The Ruger American Rifle comes boxed as shown below.
One end of the box had a sticker with the following information.
There is nothing fancy about the packaging other than the blue color. When you open the box, the rifle is inside a plastic bag and is nested in the cardboard contours. The following items were inside the box.
The buttstock had a sticker listing the key features for the Ruger American Rifle. After this photo, I removed the sticker for all remaining photos of the rifle. You can click on this photo (or any others) to bring up a high resolution photo allowing you to see the details. The forend also had the sticker shown below which I removed for future photos. This next set of photos shows the "as received" condition of the Ruger American Rifle. After a thorough inspection, I wasn't able to detect any issues with the exterior of the rifle.
First Impressions My first impression was how lightweight the Ruger American Rifle feels. Weighing in at 6.13 pounds, this rifle would be a pleasure to carry in the field. Next I was impressed with the smoothness of the action on the bolt, the crispness of the trigger and the soft recoil pad. Overall I can say my first impressions were very positive.
