Ruger LC9 Review With LaserMax In this part of my Ruger LC9 Pistol with LaserMax CenterFire Laser review I show what's in the box along with providing some photos of the "as received" condition of the pistol
The Ruger LC9 with LaserMax CenterFire Laser comes boxed as shown below. The end of the box is marked with the following information as shown in the photo below.
When you open the box, you will find the items packed similar to that shown below. In reality, I never know 100% how they are packed because by the time I get hold of the firearms they have usually already been checked out by the store that does my transfers. After pulling everything out of the box, you can see all the items that come with the LC9 pistol below such as:
I decided to add this photo below showing the more significant components. Throughout this review, you can click on any photo to bring up a higher resolution photo showing finer detail. My immediate con to this pistol is that it only comes with a single magazine. I'm a firm believer that all pistols should come with at least two magazines. These next six photos show the Ruger LC9 from all sides and document the "as received" condition of the pistol. There were two things that were not perfect on this pistol. The first was the bluing that appears to be worn on top of the camber area of the barrel shown below. I don't consider this a major issue, but I have to call them like I see them. The next was a slight mark on the polymer grip frame above the trigger on the left side. It looks like the pistol may have rubbed up against something when in the box. Again, this is not a big deal to me, but you may see it in further photos. The Ruger LC9 also comes with a thin soft case. The case seems slightly larger than needed, but it will provide some basic protection for the pistol.
Thoughts My first impressions of the Ruger LC9 are positive and I'm pleased with the addition of the LaserMax CenterFire Laser. Overall the pistol came in good condition, but there was an area above the barrel chamber that appeared like the bluing was worn. I'm a little surprised that the pistol does not come with two magazines.
