Tactical & Home Defense Pump Shotguns
I have compiled a list of popular tactical and home defense shotguns so you can compare features and price. This list of tactical and home defense pump shotguns is in no way all inclusive of every shotgun of this type. Several manufacturers make a wide verity of models with slightly different features such as stocks, sights, capacity, chokes and barrel lengths. I have selected these below because they offer a spectrum representing those with a minimum cost and features to those with reasonable cost and additional features. It wasn't until I started putting together this list before I realized how many different manufacturers were trying to go after this segment of the market. Notes:
1 - Loaded with 2 ¾" #4 Buckshot
2 - CG (Center of Gravity) is measured in inches from the end of
the butt pad to the balance (pivot) point of the gun.
3 - Inertia represents the mass moment of inertia and is
calculated as Weight x CG2 and represents the resistance
to rotate the gun about the butt pad. The lower the inertia,
the less resistance to move the gun and thus more point-able. Units
are lbs-in2
